Committee
As an association
developed out of an SBA program,
helping small disadvantaged businesses, this committee watches
legislative activity and new federal regulations, rulings and
initiatives that could adversely impact small business, particularly
8(a) certified firms. The Legislative & Policy Committee acts as
the association's voice to political leaders, federal agencies, as
well as assists its members understand when individual companies must
take action to aid in their own best interests.

Education/Events Committee Organization, planning, and bringing
you the best in education, promotion and networking opportunities is
this committee's objectives. It organizes the Annual Meeting &
Dinner and Annual Spring Conference, two of our largest networking,
educational and promotional events of the year. The committee
consistently seeks out the best instructors and provides
you educational forums to better inform you on federal contracting.

Finance/Audit/Compensation
Committee
This committee maintains and oversees the records for the accountability of the member fees and donations. The committee pays our obligations to vendors and other payables. It has monitors the independent annual review of the association's financial records and yearly taxes prepared. Each month the Board of Directors, along with the Executive Director and the Committee Chair, meet to review the monthly financial accountability. Our revenues through membership, sponsorships, and grants, are monitored and budgeted to the advantage of the member in order to bring you the best educational and networking forums at the least possible costs.

Every association needs a road map, to stay on course, and reach its milestones. This committee creates the association's focus, ensures its growth and direction, outlines its objectives and goals, and prepares the association to stay ahead of changing times that could affect our members.
